The Trump pledge: No lobbying for five years

Personally, I think it's great that Trump is attempting to ban "revolving door lobbying" in Washington but he needs to understand a few things:
1) Lobbying has become a staple in Washington with thousands of people that engage in that practice and the lobby itself will rise up to fight against him and will find a way to skirt that ban
2) While he can end lobbying at the executive level with a pen-stroke, Congress would have to vote that measure in for it to affect them which would most likely not happen, as it would dry up a lot of their political funding and
3) The chances of him getting quality people to work for him will be slim as many people in Washington want to continue to work that system and not have to put their careers on a 5 five year hiatus, which would make them obsolete in that environment.
