PO1 Tony Holland Don't have much interest in "movie critic's" opinions, but he is probably right about "Rambo-Last blood",Stallone needs to give it a rest!

HEY! Don't sleep on us old war dogs! LOL! But I get your point because my knee starting hurting just thinking about it! Yet as I stated, he did get an Oscar nod for the same old character of Rocky. Even though Rocky is no longer kicking butt. And maybe it is hard for him to get outside those characters because he created them, both in writing and in acting them out. One of the things that I have always respected about Sly is the fact that when he wrote Rocky, he wrote it for himself and the studios loved it, but they did not want Sly as the title character. Sly said they couldn't have it unless he was Rocky. Sly was actually broke at the time and threw a lot of money at him for the rights and he refused. So for a few years he bounced around doing any kind of work that he could. A producer really wanted this movie to be made and finally the studio gave in to Sly and the rest is history. Coming off that success he wrote Rambo and the studios gave him carte blanche. I just respect that a lot.

Cpl Henry Busby - LOL,At 71 myself,i gave him the benefit of the doubt until i reached 66 and everything began falling apart (physically). Ran my 6 miles a day, walked miles scouting deer, carried a deer stand on my back until i was about click into the woods and dragged a 200 lb deer back to the truck. All that changed between 65 and 70,my stamina and endurance declined rapidly.Basing my opinion on this premise,i think it distracts from his abilities as an actor, director and his screenplay.IMO he should follow the examples of a few other really good actors and involve himself in parts more in line with his years.

I hear you Brother. I'm 70 and still workout at least 4 days a week, but I don't lift as heavy as I used to, and I stopped running and now so Spinning. Even though, Spinning will have your drenched. I still practice a bit of martial arts and boxing with a younger friend and still have decent rope work, but don't want to find out how I would fare in even a one on one confrontation with anyone with the slightest level of skill. Today I practice basically end moves just in case. it is hard to give up that old glory when you knew that you could pretty much handle anything that came your way. Today, believe me, I just want to get out of the way of any conflict. LOL
