The Worst Disaster in Military History (Almost)

Humm while that was ALMOST a huge disaster... I'm still going with the greatest military Disaster was Operation Market Garden. Now THAT was a disaster. (Thanks Monty for that epic fail)

Having spent most of my career in SAC, I'm pretty familiar with this incident. Aircrews essentially received annual lessons learned training for years following this accident. Article probably makes it sound much worse than reality, but that's the purpose of articles such as this. Good analogy is almost pregnant. In reality, the 1966 B-52 crash in Spain was probably more significant from a nuclear incident standpoint.

Could have been really messy.
