Every Army rank except E-7(SFC) and E-8 (MSG/1SG)... but mostly true/entertaining.

Hated being a specialist. I ran my own section, had 20 or so soldiers I was responsible for and signed for over $25 million In equipment, but, I still got treated like a private.

That would depend upon if you were laterally appointed to the rank of CPL or you were promoted to the rank of CPL. I was promoted to the rank of CPL by a promotion board consisting of SGTMAJ and 1SG’s.. if you said the NCO creed and were inducted by the NCO’s in your unit. Simply by getting a 4187 say you are laterally transfered to CPL only holds significance to the position you are assigned to.

CPL Michael Slack
Cpl Phillip Brame I was a SPC webt to the promotion bored while deployed. The latterly promoted mentor CPL because the one SGT he had got sent home. It was supposed to be to SGT since I was filling a SSG spot at the time but got shot down because of another NCO being jealous of it. Didnt find out till I was getting ready to pcs out to another unit.
