That is an interesting piece...I hadn't seen that aspect before, I'm not surprised it existed, I just keep seeing these little odd tidbits about various wars, incl that one, good catch....

First I've ever heard of this MSgt Danny Hope ... nice share! The article mentions that a group of former Rebel POWs were to be organized to invade Bermuda... I'm sad that plan did not come to fruition. An island paradise, that rarely if ever sees a hurricane- Bermuda has year round temperatures in the 70s to 80s. It never gets above 90 degrees there, nor does it drop below 55 since it's right out in the Atlantic Ocean by itself. We could've taken over paradise! Just kidding....
