This group of vets is fighting to help troops who were forced out of the military with less-than-honorable discharges due to mental health issues.
“The true cost of war — that’s what this week is about for me. That’s why I am here,” says Steve Acheson, a former Army forward observer and Iraq War veteran. Acheson, now an engineer and a farmer, speaks with a genuine honesty, indicative of his Midwestern roots. The Wisconsin native enlisted in the Army out of high school to go fight a war he truly believed in. And he’s still fighting. But this time on Capitol Hill for the warfighters no one talks about with fellow veterans, Kristofer Goldsmith, Thomas Burke, Alexander McCoy, and David Anderson.

I should never be up to one individual to have that service member's life in their hands. General discharge for bad conduct, or whatever deemed.. SM Should have been sent for counseling. After that session. Then it should be determined by a review board before harsh action is taken.
If I recall correctly . Their are review boards for practically any subject throughout the services. Promotion , soldier of the month, AGI, and the list goes on.. I hope they get this resolved.. it looks like it is going in the right direction....
