See now, you think you're making a point here.
Until I see folks who defended Clinton concede to the fact that she and several of her staff should have at the minimum had their clearances pulled, I really don't think you have a leg to stand on here.

I have no problem with a President who attempts to put the best people on his staff, and yet still enables them to do their job, and make decisions which ultimately deny other staff members from continuing due to clearance issues.

Nope, not using the "they did it too" in the least (quite the opposite in fact). Trump has not interfered in any move to have people denied of their clearances. In fact, Trump has done nothing similar to Clinton in this case. You're all hung up on his statement to get the "best people." Well, getting the best people is a process. Part of that process is verifying whether they can be trusted with a clearance. These were not. Your attempts to hold him specifically to his word in a definitive manner is long passed getting old.

My point in bringing up Clinton is this. You have a high level figure who was at the minimum identified as grossly negligent with her handling of classified information. Now tell me... You who mentioned you once held PRP status, would you be given or retain a clearance if you had a similar issue with handling classified information? You know you wouldn't. And yet no one was really held accountable for her gross negligence. Now, at least two people have been denied their clearances from the Trump staff after an investigative process you know takes a while to complete (especially for those who never held clearances in the past). You're immediate reaction is to push the "best people" quote by Trump. What you failed to understand is that I (as one who does not like Trump) and many others who are Trump supporters and/or willing to give him a fair shake, find this refreshing because Trump's not circling the wagons to keep these individuals on board. I highly doubt Clinton would've done that without a LOT more pressure (as we've already seen). There is the contrast between her and Trump, not a comparison. You I believe have a significant record on this forum defending Clinton's actions and this is why I maintain you hardly have a leg to stand on when it comes to criticizing Trump's Staff's decision to deny prominent members a clearance and access to the White House.

In a nuclear capable artillery unit in the 1970's if a kid had admitted to smoking weed, even once, I had to permanently disqualify them from the Personal Reliability Program (AR 50-5). Today, the POTUS lets anyone have access to our nation's deepest secrets. Why do I feel America is getting further from being great?

I still have nightmares about the time spent on the PRP. From what I understand the USAF was even more insane than the Army about the subject
