It's a modernized, militarized version of the Cessna 188 Agwagon. For those not hip to civil aviation...it's a crop duster with wings.

Is this a sequel to the movie "Planes"? Dusty wants to be a warfighter, and you can do anything that you set your mind to.

As slow as the A10 is, Air Tractor is way slower without a shred of the survivability that the A-10 has.

Dumbest. Idea. Ever.

With "bombs" not "wings". Even Siri is dumbfounded.

What if the Army or American Government was already or had been using them to spray paraquat in Central/South America?

IMHO they need to seriously consider an upgraded OV-10 type aircraft. Dad flew these in Vietnam and he said it was a fantastic platform.

Looks kind of like a beefed up WWII Russian Yak with a turbo prop from the front oblique angle. What are we doing, moving to swarms of prop jobs and just overwhelm the enemies jets with sheer volume of aircraft.

Hey, why not an Henschel Hs 129 while we're at it, or a Bell P39 Aircobra?

SSG Diane R. - I'm familiar with the Aircobra, I'll have to look up the Henschel.

CSM Richard StCyr - growing up my dad made me memorize the Silhouettes and characteristics of every single aircraft from a World War II spotters handbook. He with a pilot in the war and continues to fly to this day, although because of his age he must fly with another licensed pilot.
