They all have a high risk responsibility to protect all living presidents and I am surprised more have not been wounded or killed. I know a of agents who contract the Virus being proximal to Trump who denies its existence.

Agents on the protective detail protect more than current Presidents they also protect former Presidents and Vice Presidents until such time as the Protectee either terminates the service or the protectee is deceased. And so far as protecting President Trump when he was dealing with the Covid, I suppose it's just like taking a bullet for the president, you just do your duty.

This is an amazing story - very rarely do we remember the attack on President Truman and the heroic efforts of the White House Police. The White House Police as the article said was absorbed into the uniformed Secret Service who to this day protect the President. Many military veterans serve in the Uniformed Secret Service - we should be proud of all those who protect and serve.
