And it is minimizing what happens today, as close to a million Africans are trafficked annually, and many more are in forced labor, child Soldiers, or simply killed due to some conflict or another.

Guys, I don't deny he was a major piece of work histirically, I've read all about him...however, purely as an observation, the principal historical an masse hobby of the human race has, unfortunately, always, been straight up genocide...God knows, I wish that wasn't the case, it's due to what I call historically "the dictator phenomenon"...concentration camps as a term arose during the Boer War under the Brits...the Confederates has Andersonville, the Union has Elmira and Chicago for their POw camps...Mussolini decimated Ethiopia, Pol Lot decimated Cambodia, the Bible is rife with Genocide, Josephus wrote of the annihilation of Masada...Julius Caesar destroyed Vercingeterix of the Gauls, Alexander did his thing, Moses did his thing with the Canaanites, Samson did his thing with the Philistines, and on and on and on. babylon, Assyria, Grece, Egypt, Rome against Hannibal, yakity yakity yak...blah, blah, blah...after awhile, guys, I lose count, just get bored with it, and just accept the inevitable...the human race has been beating one another's heads into allowances as long as there've humans walking upright...Neanderthals beat up each other, Cro-Magnons beat up them, the Neanderthals near them up back...you wanna know the truth, guys? Historically, everybody just beats up everybody...all you can do is just accept it, try to control it, so far as feasible, which ain't terribly likely, and just shovel against the tide, honest...there was a great line in the HBO Band of Brothers series where then It Ronald Soeirs was depicted as saying to the 1st Sgt Garwood Lipton, when asked why the company thought Speirs so tough on the Germans, he thought Roman legions were likely yakking about how tough their officers were 2000 yrs before...it was a great line, by the way...so you know what, guys? Nobody is ever gonna stop genocide...I wish it's happen, I'd give my eyeteeth to make it stop, however, it's like spitting into a hurrjicane, honest...ain't gonna happen, guys, cut and dry, QED, en do fstory, finis...it's like Pres Eisenhower said to his aides when they were talking about winning WW3...he said, famously, "Guys, if we use those things, we're all gonna be grubbing for worms"...look it up, you'll see he really did, he was a really, really smart guy, honest, I think, you know?
