I guess it is possible, but it seems unlikely at best.
They would likely be committing political suicide by doing something this extreme. Plus, if they set a precedent for this there would be no reason the Democrats would refuse to do the same to a Republican President.

This won't happen. The current blocking of Garland is following what Dems threatened with Bush. Republicans can Bork canidates they don't like. The number of Supreme Court members isn't specified. FDR threatened to pack the court. The politicians have played games with the Supreme Court since they found out they could!

If Hildebeast REALLY wants a functioning SCOTUS perhaps she mught suggest a nominee the Senate won't find reprehensible.
