The sheer intestinal fortitude these kids had to walk in to a school knowing they were not welcome. At that age, to show that much bravery.

What a waste of time and energy this was...people are people. I loved attending a HS that looked like the UN

I hope in our life times, people finally realize, it’s not the color of your skin, but the measure of you as a person. Frustrating!!!!

And we still live with it today. I am A white male, that grew up in a very racist home. Luckily I was in sports, had very strong relationships with my black friends. We talked about our differences and the races families we all had. Our friendships were more important than race. We knew we could change our parents minds. So we move forward as friends. That carried on into the military for me. We can only change the minds of the people that want to change.
