While this mission was tragic due to the loss on the SEAL and injuries to other members due to the crash of the MV-22, I don't think it will be a career ender for the General.

This is history repeating itself. We have a great gentlemen that stepped up and put his career on the line, as he is supposedly where the buck stops. BUT, as we all know, shit rolls downhill and uphill, and this General is another LTC Oliver, taking the bullet so to speak, for the cause. I commend his actions, and I take him at his word when he says, We learned valuable lessons from this mission even though it had a poor outcome, not only with the loss of a SEAL, but collateral damage to the civilians and the Osprey. I'm SURE that the lessons learned will be applied to future operations, and not only are SEALs put in danger, but ALL service people serving in that area of the world. So I think the civilian side should shut the hell up, as they haven't served, and have no idea what "WE" do and put on the line. This General didn't do this himself. I'm sure he received approval from the Sentate Intelligence Committee to carry out this operation, and they shouldn't be Monday morning quarterbacking just because there was a crappy outcome, because you know if it would've been a different outcome, they would be patting themselves on the back. Just my 2 cents.
