They have a case they believed was so strong they had to rush it to a vote in order to "protect national security." Then sit on the articles of impeachment for almost 30 days.
Their case is what they voted on. They told us there was more than enough evidence to impeach and voted to do so. Their case is their case. The Senate should hear their case. If the evidence they voted on is not compelling, the charges should be dismissed or a vote to acquit should be held immediately after they present their case.
If the democrats want to pull back their articles and try again, I guess they can do so. Remember, this was not the house that "impeached" the president, it was the democrats in the house without a single GOP vote. Even the GOP usually loses a few weak congressmen/women. They did lose a few democrats too.
Nancy likes to say that "he is impeached forever". Well, the word impeach only means that he is charged. If he is not convicted and removed then the impeachment was for naught. It would be like the state charging you with a crime, then not having evidence to prove it and you are found not guilty in a trial. The charge no longer matters, you are innocent in the eyes of the law.

Before: "It's imperative to impeach Trump to save the republic!"
After: "Let's hold on to this for a while. Now, let's send it but drag our feet. Are the TV cameras rolling? How's my hair look?"

SSgt Richard Kensinger
as I've mentioned in other posts here, we continue to see an escalation of the defensive triad by his most ardent promoters: deflect, distract, and denigrate the fact-tellers
I invite his ardent promoters to request copies of my published articles on Trump's clinical deficits. Warning to those promoters, it is going to be quite painful for you!
