Awesome story, and a testament to the effectiveness of working to resolve such issues compassionately and efficiently at the local level, instead of dispassionately, ineffectively, and inefficiently throwing money at the problem with a federal program.

Great story. More cities need to do this. Homelessness is a complicated issue and programs like this do more good then the standard govt response of throwing money at an issue without really understanding the underlying reasons for the problem.
