Economist says left's use of phrase recalls 'propaganda tactics of Joseph Goebbels'
"It really has no meaning that can be specified and tested in the way that one tests hypotheses," answered Sowell, who added that the currency of the phrase reminds him of the "propaganda tactics" of Nazi Germany, where Sowell claimed that if a lie was "repeated long enough and loud enough" it would be widely believed.
"They're absolute hypocrites," the host said. "They claim they want equality for all. They claim that there'll be the withering away of the ... police departments ... and yet every time you look at a Marxist state, it is an authoritarian, top-down, centralized police state."

I don't know that using the tactics of Saul Alinsky is an improvement over Goerbbels.

Both of their ideological philosophies have the same ends; single party, authoritarian rule.
Even in his, Joseph Goebbels, speech Communism with the Mask Off, the nazi propaganda minister tries to state the Germans are religious, but we know they infiltrated the church jailing and/or killing many who were outspoken about nazi policy. The only real difference between the nazi's and bolshevics was anti-Jewish vs. pro-Jewish. He even contradicts himself in the speech stating that nazism "confines itself to Germany" while they were invading/annexing neighboring countries and making global plans.
His speech has to be read know knowing that many of his passages are propaganda, sprinkled with facts to garner loyalty to his party.
"In both countries are the same censorships on art, literature, and of course the Press, the same war on the intelligentsia, the attack on religion, and the massed display of arms, whether in the Red Square or the Tempelhofer Feld."
