Thoughts on 9-11 cross?
Being that we are remembering the events of 9/11/01. The second circuit court of appeals ruled that the steel 9-11 cross can remain at the WTC memorial. What are your thoughts? The article below states "The federal appeals panel sided with Manhattan federal Judge Deborah Batts’ ruling last year that the relic’s historical importance outweighs potential concerns over issues of separation of church and state"

Even considering those who are not Christians, I think this cross is perfectly fine. Freedom of religion - including Christianity - is part of the fabric of America. If Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, atheists, etc. happened to have a symbol associated with 9/11, that would be fine. And a cross should be fine as well.

I agree! However, wasn't there an issue a while back when a group of muslims wanted to use one of the buildings near ground zero as a place of worship. I know that seemed to create a lot of angst.
