This is a good time for people at all levels of leadership to learn some important lessons in care for Airmen in addition to good order and discipline.

Air Force officers seem to have a stronger sense of superiority over their enlisted counterparts than other branches. I say this because Air Force officers are consistently being busted for treating enlisted personnel poorly. Perhaps a culture change is in demand?
Anyway, you officers should be thankful for the enlisted corps because they are the true leaders who help execute your vision from the ground-up. Treat them with respect and they will buy in and support you. Treat them like crap and you will only create problems.

Sir, you and I both know that the enlisted personnel were around when these incidents occurred. You’re right though, the students received the brunt of the abuse. Thanks for your response!

MSG (Join to see) - Based on what the incident at hand was, I would highly doubt any enlisted personnel were present. It was after-hours, in the bar, and flyer-centric...not in the auditorium during an all-call.

Roger! I apologize for not digging into the article. I normally read these carefully but I made the wrong assumption and fell short due to the common factor of toxic leadership targeted towards enlisted personnel. I hope everybody is having a good weekend!

Lt Col (Join to see) - MSG (Join to see) Maj williams you are correct. This was at ap ilot training base and in a Pilot training unit. The only enlisted that they come into contact with are the very few life support technicians and Air Traffic Controllers when in the air. This was an officership issue...plain and simple. I am glad they nipped it in the bud and sent shockwaves across the communities that it will not be tolerated.
MSG Gould...I see your point but don't necessarily agree with it. I served on numerous joint assignments and exercises and I see it the other way. I see Army and Marine treating their enlisted like swine most of the time...Don't even get me started on the Navy where in ships they have Seaman serve food in the Chiefs mess or the Offcers mess instead of being an ammo troop or maintenance or firefighter that the joined for...peersonally witnessed by me. I think there are instances in every service where we can point fingers and say they are mistreated but in this case, there weren't any around.
