I have finally decided to become a fatalist. It's the only viable alternative. Whomever my friends and family choose to cast their ballots for, I smile and nod. We're all just going to have to get along together like rattlesnakes stuck in the same burlap bag. There is no good option. How can I honestly disagree with anyone's selection of the least offensive?

CPT Jack Durish What is the Fatalist Platform? Will they have a convention? Will there be cookies?
I agree, when the main two parties put up horrible candidates, how can anyone claim the high ground? The high ground on a sinking ship still ends up underwater. This election cycle it seems RNC and DNC have both decided that the moral high ground is unnecessary. That is the saddest part, the lack of caring in the political establishment.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - Have you noticed that the Libertarian candidate moved into double-digits? When has that ever happened?

CPT Jack Durish - Governor Johnson did wonderful things for New Mexico. I was living there when it happened. If Bernie, Hillary, Donald, and Cruz all ran, then Governor Johnson could even have a fighting chance. I can hope right.
In answer to your question, never. Last election he was considered to have done well with around 7% (I think) though if the Libertarian and Green parties win their lawsuit against the commission for presidential debates, then it could also change things dramatically. IT would be the first time since Ross Perot (that I can recall) that non RNC/DNC candidates would participate in the presidential debates.

SGT (Join to see) the best thing I ever did was start only looking at what I can personally verify, and making an educated guess as to whom I think will actually be good for the nation. Once I did that, I stopped stressing about the letter after the name, and started focusing on who was the right choice. Now even if my candidate cannot win the election, my conscience is good with the choice I make.
