Tax the rich is just a scheme to get the majority of voters on their side. Here is my question what happens when all these rich people get tired of paying more than their share and move to a more friendly country, who is going to pay then. Why not look at ways to reduce spending, hey how about starting with Congress and all the perks they gave themselves over the years.

Takes very little research to see that when tax rates were 70-90%, the 'rich' paid less as a % of receipts than they do know, which means lower rates yielded more.
I don't think it is about getting more tax dollars, it is really about control and the left wanting 'equal outcomes', and this intellectual superiority they think they have.

Flat tax solves everything.
No deductions.
Don't care how many kids you have.
State taxes are between you and the state; federal government does not take it into account at all.
Only exemptions are for charitable giving.
Eliminate the death tax.
Everyone pays the same... to be revenue neutral, probably around 15% or so.
So if you make $1 million, pay 150k. Make $50k, pay $7500.
Oh, and by the way, the only job the IRS needs to do is monitor corporate taxes. No more hours mucking about on individual income tax returns.
