To Soldiers stationed at Fort Huachuca, the TSAS is in need of volunteers to snuggle with and walk the dogs on weekends. My former unit usually fills the slots, and it was mostly single Soldiers who had the time when I was there, but we've since then PCS'd. This is a wonderful little no-kill shelter that has a high turnover of pets, because the shelter admin does a wonderful job of assessing personalities. They keep every pet for as long as it takes (one time it was three years) and they have partnered with a shelter in Mexico to bring strays up from time to time. I even found my dog and my mom's dog from there just one week before I ETS'd.
