I live close enough to the Lake of the Ozarks that I think the Perception Hi Life 11.0 Kayak would add to an ideal weekend adventure away from home for me and my dogs.

Interesting. My dog hates to kayak, he keeps dropping the paddle. He would rather sit in my boat.

I have this Old Town (cheaper than the ones on your list) and the opening is so big you could easily but a dog in there with you. I'm 6'1" and can lay down in it. Of course if you have a big dog this wouldn't work.

I have one that's 50 lbs and one that will be just under 20 lbs. I would also like to fit a small lunch cooler for shore breaks.

If I could get Spot to sit still I would pursue this sport but every time he see's a fish he's overboard in the retrieve mode. Hauling a wet dog into my lap is not fun and I refuse to do it anymore...ha ha
