PFC (Join to see) I agree the amount of the cost is overwhelming, but we need to keep our military strong and number one. That alone can deter any thinking of attacking us.

Right but I don't think what helps is the no bid system of a good many contractors that I guess they can mark up their prices because they are the only game in town. Maybe we should start getting more competitive with our contractors that may help brings cost as well as time down on R&D

SPC Douglas Bolton - not all of it is no bid but a great portion of the contracting process is no bid. Like Private Security firms are no bid contracts and that has allowed certain companies like Aegis to cut massive corners in training certifying and yet they got 200 million dollar extension in 2011 this has got to change.
