I see more mandatory training in the future.......Death by Power Point on digital permanency and not sharing nude photos of oneself or others....... At least two hours..... maybe an added hour to the current SHARP training, (which by the way was pretty well done here at FLW this year with a couple new video clips and in my opinion a better instructor).
Or we could apply the golden rule, treat others as you'd like to treated.

I will believe it, if and when the complicit women are also publicly prosecuted, not just the men. If they (officials in charge) do not treat all who are complicit in this equally, how can anyone trust them.
And for those of you out there that want to claim that is a 'blame the victim' attitude, then you are a part of the problem, because by that statement it can be extrapolated that you do not believe that men can be raped. How hypocritical of you.
What do you want? Equality or Equity? If you want equality, good for you; however, if you want equity stop lying to yourself and other people.

MAJ James Goldberg - Possibly ART 134-13 Disorderly Conduct or 134-27 Indecent Exposure. But I find it unlikely this would happen.

MAJ James Goldberg - Considering the act that is under discussion; just as others have already suggested, we could start with Articles 133 and 134, and one of the elements could be moral turpitude as an example. In some of the cases, there is also the possibility of being charged under Article 92; since it would be apparent that some of the pictures were created while the individuals were under the authority of *General Order #1* or any derivative or similar order. These are also some of the items that the 'other' complicit parties will probably be charged with, are they not?

For the most part unless you identify yourself as military and post publicly yourself there is nothing the women can be charged with. Sending nude photos is not a statutory violation not a violation of the UCMJ, in fact the courts have ruled such photos are protected speech.

I read about this issue. It does not appear there is total innocents on the part of those crying foul and it appears this is military wide.
The last I checked, Marines existed to ensure the Marine Corp completed its mission. How does this complete that?
By making the Marine Corp and other branches of service more cilivian puke like, we see a greater devolving into how the services can help you. Or, help you feeeeeel better.
Rise standards to 1986 in the Marine Corp and Airborne. Then, watch this type of distraction go away in these two branches.
If it is too late, please change the name of the Marine Corp at least. Our enemies will smell weakness.

With all of the focus on non combat related items we may need to change the name of the Marine Corps or perhaps make it have a separate release, Marines 2.0 or something. We seem to be drifting further and further from the mission. The mission of the Marine Rifle Square is:
The mission of the rifle squad is to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and
maneuver, or repel the enemy's assault by fire and close combat.
That is what we should be working on, not internet nudies.
If we do some root cause resolution on this, what we will learn is if there were no nude photo's or videos, there would be nothing to post or comment on. Let's set aside any material that might have been stolen because I suspect that is a very small percentage. When I say stolen I don't mean from someone's on line account on facebook or snapshat. If you want to keep your nudie private DO NOT PUT THEM ON THE INTERNET, ANYWHERE!
If they were indeed stolen from someone's private collection (not on internet) that is a crime. That should be punished. If you sent nudes of yourself to someone in a message. email or on the internet and they are now "out there" for all to see, look in the mirror, the person responsible for that is you.
I know some guys will take something you send that you thought was private and post it. Because you think it is private does not make it private. Yes, guys can be cads. Do not send them nude pictures of yourself, ever.
I certainly hope we see as many or more women in trouble over this as we do men. This is not just a men issue.

Excellent post Sir. But, name change Marine 2.0? How about Under Water Basket Weaving? Complete with yellow stress cards, puppies (with flotation device) and Rose petals?
