In an internal memo issued force-wide, the Joint Chiefs of Staff called out the ransacking of the Capitol building on Wednesday, “We witnessed actions inside the Capitol building that were inconsistent with the rule of law,” they wrote. “The rights of freedom of speech and assembly do not give anyone the right to resort to violence, sedition, and insurrection.”

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - what has local commands stated to the troops they command regarding the Joint Chiefs memo? Something of that magnitude would have required a Battalion formation in order to not only support, but reinforce the joint chiefs message - This would not have been left at the level it was released, Commander would have talked to their troops.

Jesus. Has everyone in power drank the Koolaid. If they want to arrest the people the trespassed, fine. Broke into the building and damaged property, fine. Charge anyone that assaulted or harmed a police officer, not only fine, but you have my blessings on that venture. But what needs to happen is to quit labeling it an insurrection, that's false and inflammatory. It's not sedition or treason either. If we have armed groups setting up autonomous areas in major cities and major violence, looting and fatalities during anti Trump and BLM protests that were not Sedition or Insurrection, labeling this as such is hypocritical at the least.

I saw a few riots over the course of him being nominated to his inauguration. The majority of what happened were actual protests. At points, there were clashes between Trump supporters and other people. But no rioting for "weeks" on end. At all. And nothing to the level of attacking the Capitol during the certification of the election.
