IMO, for us to "solve" the race issue, we must first acknowledge there is an issue.

Yes, I acknowledge it, and so does the article, and the book. I think that's why Mr Williams wrote a book on it. Race is an acknowledged issue. If you don't think it is, you must be living under a rock in Antarctica.

Col Joseph Lenertz - Not I, Col. I have been active in racial issues since I was 18 and helping register voters in Mississippi back in 1960.
But it seems whenever the issue comes up on some of these discussion forums, it is far too often denied or made to appear insignificant.
Also, we always get the "both sides" comments, which is a diversion.

Yes, true. My comment was not pointed at you. I should have said, "If anyone doesn't think it's an issue, they must be living under a rock..."

the "race" is human. the ethnicity is African, European, etc. skin color is what people focus on. there are white Africans, black Europeans and Asians and the list goes on and on. stop focusing on skin color and focus on the person

Sounds familiar, oh yeah....
Martin Luther King, Jr. Quotes. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
