I listen to a huge variety of genres and typically I find that country will tell a better story than most other genres.
Not so much recently though. The art of storytelling isn't something that most musicians seem to care for anymore.

I love this song. The best video is from the 2009 CMA Awards. Trace sang it with the West Point Glee Club. It's available on YouTube.
