Maybe my reply doesn't exactly go here but here I go: When I was in 4th grade I had a female bully. I've always been a small girl and she was taller, lived in the roughest part of town and had a posse of mean girls with her at all times. She would name call, take my homework and push me often around school. One day, I got so tired of it I devised a plan. That afternoon after a kickball tournament which I was a part of the team and she was the captain, she came after me to take my homework for the next day and after some pushing I told her that I actually liked the attention she gave me because I was in love with her. She never bothered me again... This is probably one of the sappy bully stories but i know know a days bullying has transformed and evolved to fit with the times... it makes me sad to see the news about young kids committing suicide or deaths at the ends of bullies or disagreements between young teenagers/kids. My oldest son is 13 years old and I constantly worry about his well being physically and emotionally. Trying to keep up with the trends for kids today, as well as, what's going on in their world around them. To better explain bullying and it's effects I showed my son a YouTube video about 10 YouTubers who died because of suicide by bullying or bullying fights at their schools/neighborhood. This also brings the fact of cyber bullying. Technology with all its benefits and ability to globalize/open our world has also exposed us to the nasty traits some human beings have. All we can do is create awareness, correct/modify behaviors and punish appropriately these actions. It's sad and extremely upsetting.
