PO3 Phyllis Maynard part of the beauty of our nation is that we have the freedom to believe what we want to believe. Sadly the bad apples in any endeavor are the ones who get the press, and make those who are genuinely good people have a much harder time. I personally hate ANY religious broadcasting. I think that religion as a whole is a bad thing. FAITH the belief that you hold is important. It is your relationship with the divine. Religion is the bloated sow that gets fat by taking advantage of that faith. The problem with TV evangelists is that they often talk about the "The Lord's Work" while living a lavish lifestyle that includes mansions and private planes. I don't know much about the bible, but I am pretty sure that Jesus wasn't a noble living a lavish lifestyle.

I concur with you PO3 Steven Sherrill. The bad press and personal greed takes away from the whole. And yes the FAITH that we live individually is the testimony to those doing the good work. I have personally accomplished my financial and real estate goals first. So if I decide to foster underpriviledged children or become involved in Evangelism, my material holdings will in no way be connected to ministry work I choose.
