This sounds like in place training that will keep deployed troops in great morale, build proficiency, and just keep skills fresh.

Honestly not a fan. I've seen forward training programs in the past, WLC in Iraq. They his the basics, but we're watered down do to time and environment. I don't hold any Troop in ill favor that attended but as their careers progressed it was obvious who attended forward WLC (PLDC). Counseling skills and ability to plan and develop good training were two very apparent short comings.

I think it's great that Kuwait now has better resources to maintain and develop air assault task skills. But to recognize it as a TRADOC Certified Air-Assault doesn't sound logical. Just mangling instructor attrition rates to prevent loss of instructor knowledge would be a high risk. The objective risk assessment for this course to me would be high, costly and unsustainable.
