Trump cut the US out of the TPP; in an increasingly global economy, it remains to be seen if underpaid US purchasers will the able to afford (exclusively) US-made goods.

I don't know why you think the standard of living is better. As someone who lived in Halifax for 2 years, I can tell you unequivocally, it's not. Their 'free' medical is terrible - for anything other than emergencies, you're going to be on months, sometimes years-long waiting lists. 2, 3 months to see a dentist. Years for elective surgeries. The one time I had to go to the ER, I had to wait 12 hours to be seen, and my condition was fairly serious. As for living conditions, they're 1st world, definitely, but not anything better than here.

I was basing that off of the fact that Canadians general have higher wages and more of them are doing well compared to their American counterparts. Yes the health care in Canada sucks compared to the US but over all people in Canada seem to be doing better off than we are. And now with TPP will they be doing even better?
