No he can't. But he can hit business where it hurts. The bank account. Tax them and give their competitors tax breaks. All those nice incentives to keep your business an American business

The power to tax does not reside in the white House, It resides in Congress, Trump can not rasie a single dime in taxes, Civics 101
Republican Congress is not about to raise taxes on businesses, that is biting the hand that feeds them and they know that.

No surprise here and I do believe in Trump but there are some things negotiations can't fix. Jobs being outsourced overseas is a management decision by major companies and corporations. It's how they cut their overhead expenses, exploit cheap labor and resources, minimize tax liability and how they work around environmental and government regulations. They do all this to drive up profitability and remain competitive in the market. The government has been trying for years to offer incentives and tax breaks to keep jobs in the US but it's not enough. Trumps own company has been outsourcing for years. If he's going to do this he needs to find a balance between keeping companies profitable and using local labor / resources. The negotiations are just a band aid fix. Plus how do we address the technological changes in the job market and the elimination of many service & factory jobs lost to automation or computers? I hope Trump's administration can find a way to keep jobs in the US but there is a bigger picture that isn't being addressed. Meanwhile China is the biggest manufacturer and exporter on the planet; the Chinese economy is booming.

PO3 Donald Murphy
Well what you do is you do what Europe does. You tax the hell out of companies that outsource so that it is suicidal to do it. Your tax rate jumps up to 80% if you outsource or some stupid number. You also jail people who do it as being traitors.
What?!
Ever wonder where Europe's "free medical" comes from? Taxes. And you can't be taxed unless you're working and you can't be working if you don't have a job. So it is imperative that Joe Euro have a job to go to. THIS is why we don't have excellent health care. Because we can't guarantee labor for our populace. Shit - my company just outsourced me in January!! Its not done to be competitive. Its done out of greed. F**k the American employee at any cost. Not coming across too bitter, am I?

SSG Shavonde Chase thanks for the read and share, much interesting:
In the first 100 days of the Trump administration, more than 270 separate companies applied for TAA benefits on behalf of more than 10,000 workers whose jobs are moving to another country.
CNNMoney's analysis shows that more than 4,000 of these jobs have moved out of the country since Trump took office. And nearly 2,000 additional jobs are due to be moved in the coming weeks and months. The rest of these job moves took place before Trump's term started, even though the petitions have just been filed.
