The point is not what she thinks. The point is Trump, as usual, makes derogatory remarks, then denies making the remark, calls it fake news. He is the fake.

Totally taken out of context. He was referring more to her comments as being nasty than her as a person. People in the public limelight should know by now, talk trash on Trump and he will fire back. Presidential, probably not but his right.

He said:
"No, I didn't know that she was nasty."
That is calling her nasty. Then he denies it.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I can see how it could be interpreted that he was saying that he didn't realize that she had been "nasty" to him (when she said she'd move to Canada if he were elected). I can see an argument made for that. However, the fact remains that he has a history of making derogatory remarks, calling people names, calling women "nasty" and so on. Because of that history, I cannot give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this. It makes for a convenient excuse for him, to be sure, but his past behavior clouds his present remarks.

If it was really a misunderstanding, it would have been simple for him to clarify: "I was saying that I did not know that she had said those things about me. I did not know that SHE had been "nasty" to me in the past. That's what I meant."

But no, he just goes on to deny that he said it - without explanation. And again, his past behavior damages his credibility in that regard.
