Yes he did in 2009, but POTUS Trump called the Family's rite away and he has also talked with the wounded personnel also. This is still a big difference in leadership.

Or a big difference in how readily the new president publicizes his actions for his own purposes.

SFC Shirley Whitfield - actually yes I do, 2011 a Chief Petty Officer friend of mine and in my community. His family mother and father did not receive a phone call, they did receive a aouto pin letter.

Obama did it more than a couple of times. In fact, a white house pool reporter talked about how Obama often required the visits to remain secret. But I think it's pathetic that some ITT use an event like this to continue to bash Obama rather than focus on the solemn event at hand. Especially since the claims about Obama are incorrect.

We'll conveniently ignore that I updated my post to say I was wrong -- I know, it doesn't fit your narrative, someone owning up to being wrong -- and instead, I'll just ask, ITT?

I saw the update, and respect that, even though you stated "a couple of times" while he actually did more than that. But I was primarily referring to follow on posts by others who used this thread to attack Obama's character baselessly, rather than applaud Trump's action
I think Trump did the right think and deserves credit for it. But it just seems like some here can't bring themselves to comment on a Trump action without reflexively attacking Obama. And often those attacks are based upon faulty assumptions. That's what I was criticizing. And these people saying they never saw Obama salute, or Obama calling families, or Obama meeting with families are simply clueless. That information is readily available. But I guess that's what happens if you get your news from only rightwing websites.
ITT is one of those internet abbreviations I learned from the youngsters. It stands for In This Thread.
