The National Security Advisor must have not only the full faith and confidence of our President and our President, but also that of members of the professional staff supporting the National Security Council and our national security officials and Cabinet members who are members of the National Security Council.
Prior military service to our nation, while respected and appreciated, cannot replace that requirement for full faith & confidence.
