I suppose it was perhaps inevitable, I'd obv read of such efforts for years to have it be allowed, however, it's always been refused till now, and, I think, with more than adequate justification...I think, however wrongheaded many of you might view me for this, that such predilection with such silly, and, to me, trivial games, is beyond follish...as I'd read years ago when one such grad had petitioned to be allowed, and quite rightly in my estimation been told to go fly a kite, when they're done with their obligation, they can basically do as they please...till then, the country has first call on them, at least to me, not some ludicrous multi-million dollar sport team...as I'd said, allowing such nonsense sends entirely the wrong message, to my mind....

Honestly, I truly don't know...I entirely realize the fraction would most likely be quite low, I completely get that...I only went it as, till now, I'd always seen that it's always been strictly verboten, no ifs, ands, or buts...I just found the whole thing nettlesome, at least to my mind, for the simple reason that it's rather a case, at least to me, if opening Pandora's Box, giving an inch, and eventually possibly having a mile be asked for...then, too, and, as I'd sajd, I realize my view might not be that of many on here, however, while such an allowance might seem trivial and/or incidental, esp give the small likelihood that a given student might be so cinsidered, for any soirt, whether fiootball, baseball, what have you, I just find the idea of academy grads being allowed to do such a thing rather a trivialization, as I'd said, if why they were admitted to such schools in the first place...my brother was USMMA Kings Point, he's played soccer there, as he's lettered in no it in highschool, another kid I'd gone to high school with had been a major athlete there as well, I'd trained with Army ROTC at West Point a good deal...till now, using academy sports to do professional sports stuff, until the obligation was iver, had always been absolutely forbidden, I just think, myself, that this is an absolutely abysmal idea, though, as I'd said, I knew I'd likely be disagreed with, of course....
