Government programs has been filled with "pork" for decades. I'm hoping this is a sign saying we will stop paying double what it is worth just because were the government. No more blank checks, you give a bid, then stick to it.

What do you want to bet the price of Air Force one changes and it ends up being less than it is today. It will be caused by a combination of revising specifications that are likely over amped through the procurement process and simply a sharper eye(s) on the project/contract.
I know you libs think this is bad mojo to fire a shot across the bow of Boeing. Boeing is a great company, not a perfect company and anyone that has been around the government (DoD) procurement process know it is rife with opportunities to save money. This is about message transmission that business as usual should not be expected. If he saves a few hundred million dollars or a billion dollars why would anyone mind that?

SGT (Join to see) -I know AF1 is expensive. I don't need to spend hours trying to bone up on the cost benefits analysis of maintenance vs replacement and I doubt you have either. His point was not whether to replace or not but at what cost. Are they getting a fair deal (at whatever the cost). Is Boeing making a mint on the aircraft? I don't know (and neither do you). I do know it is prudent to ask some tough questions about it and put people on notice. They need to understand the status quo may not prevail. He may have information already that points him in the direction of an overpriced asset.
Again, what is the false info he put out? Do you have the truth you can counter it with? I have yet to see you say a positive thing about his so I will not hold my breath for you "prove" he is right.

Cpl Jeff N. - Fyi I say nothing positive as I don't see anything positive yet.- I am skeptical, very much so and on par as I would have been with Hillary as I do not have a high regard for her.....you will get to know this about me as time goes on :)
