If the Iran deal was such a benefit for America, perhaps the first Affirmative Action President should have had it ratified as a treaty.

The articles headline is not supported by the story. Russia is not winning, our EU allies are whining. They like their cozy business relationships with Iran and want those to remain as is. Trump is challenging the status quo of a worn out relationship. The money line in the story is this one.
"The Europeans would prefer that the U.S. continue to operate as it traditionally did, said Federiga Bindi, a former official in the Italian government and a senior fellow at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies"
The Europeans want things the way they want them. They are status quo thinkers and Trump is a disruptor. The Iran agreement (not treaty) is garbage. Obama never took it to the senate as a treaty because it would have never passed. Live by the pen, die by the pen.

And even if Obama tried to take it to the Senate, there was bipartisan support against it.
