Yup
It's hilarious that it's called "Trump's Trans Troops Ban." Since 1775, and until a few years ago, there has been a trans troop ban, since gender dysphoria is a mental disorder. It wasn't until we decided to mainstream peoples' mental disorders that the "ban" was lifted.

SGT Jamarl Jones - and lots of other things have been declassified as disorders too. As science develops, we learn more. There are many factors that go into GD. Did you know that the hypothalamus in transgender women looks like that of cisgender women, for instance? Not like other (cisgender men). So there is biological proof that we are born physically different. Until the advent of Functional MRIs testing like this was not possible. That is why there have been changes in the classification.

SGT Jamarl Jones - well, I served for 22 years, and am highly decorated, and there are lots of people who are trans on active duty and very successful. Senior Chief (Seal) Kristin Beck did the hardest jobs the Navy had to offer in Devgru (Team 6).
So don't tell me we are not fit to serve.
