I think the President tweets out shyte to get everyone wound up about that topic while he's working another where people aren't watching.
Basically it's the sleight of hand trick. I think it's pretty ingenious, Trump is not the idiot people make him out to be.

We have discriminated against asthmatics, diabetics, HIV, HTN, blindness, and deafness for years, not certain gender dysphoria is going to be seen differently. I used to be much more open to this until the DOD transgender training rolled out and I learned a great deal and as a medical professional, I am having more and more issues not seeing this as a serious mental disorder. I encourage all to go here, http://www.thetransgendercenter.com/index.php/femaletomale1.html and read about the surgical procedure with transition pics at the bottem. These are significant procedures that have risks and people do die from surgery; some 200,000 a year die from hospital acquired infections. I am not going to debate whether these procedures are elective or not, we have docs for that. I will say it is considered very abnormal to cut something off that is functioning properly. Suicide rates amongst transgenders has been research to 50%, don't we have enough veteran suicides than to bring in an at risk group?

I am adamantly against processing those out that have made it known to their units because they believed they were safe. They fell under a proposed old policy and that policy should be kept to point of complete treatment to their needs.

I could argue that if a transgender is dx not needing surgical procedures and just wish to change other things, that probably would be ok. They could create different levels of diagnosis, like we do with kidney failure and the most severe kept from joining. We allow people with poor eyesight to join to a limit and I think doing the same with transgenders would be fair.

Transgender is a weaselly and deceptive umbrella term.
The best practice is to stop using it and recognize there are groups caught under its umbrella and having their professional ethics and legal rights violated.
Think of the lgbt as a wide net that has been cast to trap as many people into it as possible.
Its a huge illegal experiment and sex discriminatory grouping create and ongoing right under your noses yet also in plain site.
How is it that everyone deemed not heterosexual enough or male or female enough has been man handled into this singular group and its labels?
This is the stuff that domestic enemies are made of!!!!

Don't forget, serving in the armed forces is a privilege, not a right. Lots of people can't serve because of disabilities, some as minor as flat feet. Some can't serve because of health problems as minor as bed wetting. Some can't serve because of social/psychological problems as minor as OCD. Why should one, this one, "deserve" special consideration?
