So, RP Folks, am I the only one who thinks that Donald Trump would be doing himself a great service by selecting General Kelley for Secretary of State, and General Mattis for Secretary of Defense?

While I admire Gen. Kelly, I'm not too sure. I have in my head Gen. Powell's tenure as Sec State. While I think he did O.K., I wasn't all that impressed. My preference for Sec State would be former UN Ambassador John Bolton. He reminds me of George Schultz, Reagan's Sec State.

SSgt Dale W. I have great respect for General Powell, but you make a valid point. I remember those images of him justifying the invasion of Iraq with simulations of what Iragi WMDs might look like. He had a look either of disbelief, or fear I am not sure which.

Kelley, Mattis or Patreaus they should all have jobs in the new administration they are all brilliant minds that will do wonders in whatever position they are asked to serve in. I'd bet an ice cold Heineken that within 24-36 maybe sooner, we would be saying goodbye to ISIS and hello to a stronger Military.
