Young Turks is too left wing for me. The whole impeachment charge is based on a campaign finance law that is being deliberately misinterpreted by the Democrats. It says you cannot solicit an item of value (monetary and tangible value) from a foriegn government during a campaign. No such solicitation took place. The Democrats are incorrectly interpreting a request to investigate an opponent as an item of "value". Which does not meet the intent of the law as written and stretches the word "value" to mean intangible value, again not the intent of the law as written. Asking for an investigation of someone is not a campaign contribution either. This whole web of deliberate lies and half truths eventually the electorate will catch on to and the Democrats are going to sink badly in the next election. While I agree that Trump shouldn't have asked directly for the investigation as a "favor". The transgression is not worthy of an impeachment, possibly you could convince me it is worthy of a censure. At any rate, lying about and weaponizing this law is only going to get the Democrats so much mileage among those that fail to read the law and interpret it as intended. In fact the "item of value" section of the law is very close to the verbage on bribery which again underlies the intent to mean monetary value. The whole thing is a farce. Think about past photo shoots prior to an election with the Isreali PM, think about positive comments about the POTUS prior to an election by a foreign leader. These too are items of intangible value that can be prosecuted under this new interpretation of the law because many of them are solicited as well.

MAJ (Join to see) - You need a JD to read a law and understand it's context. I feel sorry for you. Most people can do that with just a high school education. Hint: a lot of legal beagles are tainted by politics and like to think the law and constitution are living and can change with interpretation without Amendment vs the law being very literal and needing modification when it does not cover an item. There is a whole discussion on that each time we review a Supreme Court Justice.

MAJ (Join to see) And? They have shared their findings with Adam Schiff who desperately needs proper authentication of his multiple charges for the last 2 + years?

If “they” know so much and do not disclose or forward documentation, they too, are guilty of not acting in the best interests of the Nation!

[~881742:SPC Erich again you completely miss the point. I don’t need a JD to understand the law and Constitution, I studied it in my undergrad enough I understand it so fully, I had the USSTRATCOM JA recruiting me to cross level into the JAG Corps even though I was at 17 years TIS.

YOU however, would need a JD to say you know better that the overwhelming majority of Judges, Lawyers, And Constitutional Scholars, fool

Ardent POTUS promoters continue to utilize the defensive triad: deflect, distract, and destroy all who challenge The Donald. They got no other recourse given the extreme stakes.

Given the fact that Trump exhibits a narcissistic disordered personality w/ prominent antisocial traits, he is both quite self and other destructive. So no clinical suprise here.
