I think this is going to be really interesting. While Ryan and others express concern about Trump's rude behavior, in reality they are concerned because he doesn't follow the party line of "true conservatives" when he says things like Caitlyn Jenner can use any bathroom she wants in Trump Tower; or one of the governments key responsiblities is education; or while he's against abortion, it ultimately comes down to woman's choice; or that you need to raise taxes on the very rich. I think part of Trump's appeal to some new voters/independents/moderate democrats is that on many social issues, he really doesn't represent the far right conservative line.
But the battle coming is going to be about money, IMO. Because for all his talk of self funding, even Trump can't (and won't) spend a billion dollars of his own money on the presidential campaign. So he needs money from the big republican donors, and he needs to tap into the party's fund raising apparatus. That's the only leverage the party has over him right now. So it will be a negotiation as to how much or little Trump will be willing to fall in line in order to get the money. But I suspect that Trump will tell them that his way is what is drawing the voters in, and so if you want to spend your money on a winner, you better spend it on me the way I am. It's going to be really interesting to see who wins this battle. I'd put my money on Trump.

I understand what Ryan is doing. He is trying to ensure that the House remains under GOP control so he has to do what he is doing to prevent the losses.

As much as I enjoy Trump's outspokenness, it's time for him to be the leader we all want him to be and unite.
I can't help but imagine him stubbornly saying "get out" to someone over a petty disagreement.
I guess we will see.

Yes, because in my opinion this whole Ryan not backing thing is a plan by GOP to show that Trump can unify the party.
