If you listened to certain segments of the media, you would have thought Pres. Trump would burn LGBTQ community members at the stake on the White House lawn. (esp. after he took LGBTQ issues off the White House website because it wasn't one of his priorities) If you are an anti-Trumper, will this gesture make you pause and rethink your position? If you are a pro-Trumper, does this decision go against your religious sentiments and rethink your support for him?

You can have little concern for this topic and still be skeptical of this administration; e.g. McCain and Graham aren't known for being LGBTQ crusaders.

For some of us that may be true, especially if we are more moderate. I have family members that are in the LGBTQ community and they seemed to think a Trump presidency would be catastrophic to their lives. This is just one issue that typically goes the other way for each ideology and I was wondering how diehard liberals and conservatives viewed this move.

More evidence of media bias. President Trump supported LGBT rights during his campaign. To suggest otherwise is just media tripe.
