There is something of a "war on boys" right now. Not that girls shouldn't be encouraged, but right now more girls go to college and graduate than boys do. My husband taught 4th grade and I could see the difference a man in the classroom made. Many of the female teachers were about sitting still, he was about DO THE WORK. If you need to sit on the floor, oh well.
