Considering Planned Parenthood gets Federal funding, they should be covered under the Whistle Blower law as far as I am concerned. If you get Fed money, you can be tattled on.

Col Rebecca Lorraine - I wasn't talking about Planned Parenthood being covered. I was talking about the two guys that are being indicted.

They weren't employees of Planned Parenthood. Don't see how the whistleblower protections could apply.

If you see a cop doing something corrupt or film them doing something illegal and report it, your blowing the whistle. They are a state / government employee. Well since PP takes federal dollars they are not a private company and you get protection for blowing the whistle on any corrupt or illegal behavior.

CPO (Join to see) - Pretty much the way I see it. Plus, the prosecutor is using a law that hasn't been used in ages. I am sure they had to dig up the statute.

Sure if the information in the videos truly were honest and factual then they did a good thing. But if it's proven that they heavily edited the videos to distort what was said, mislead the public, deliberate propaganda to push a private agenda then their actions become less honorable and credible. Trial will be interesting.

I dont know enough about CA law to comment here, but the allegations by their defense attorney are pretty interesting. - "Daleiden’s lawyer, Steve Cooley, a former district attorney of Los Angeles, blamed the charges on Sen. Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.), a former attorney general of California whose office initiated the investigation that produced Tuesday’s charges. He claims Harris corrupted the current attorney general’s office to “pander to her constituents and her supporters.” Cooley said he looks forward to “cross examining her” in court."
