Yeah that forever gi bill should be retroactive and paid retroactive. I am still sort of pissed off that I waited to to long to go to school. Now that I have doctoral degree. Thanks.

yeah... the 10-year limitation on the GI Bill when i was active made for a lot of soul-searching

I was personally granted the Post 9/11 GI Bill and informed that it could be transferred to immediate family members. This is not completely true. You must be on Active duty at the time you initiate the transfer as I am told by Military Services at the University I attend. If you are not Currently on Active duty you can't transfer that remaining time on a benefit that was earned. Doesn't really make a bit of sense to me, since it was already earned and there is time remaining on my benefit.
