Looks a lot more expensive than simply teaching Soldiers how to shoot properly, don't you think?

I'm with you 1SG, definitely expensive. What had happen too the basics of BRM? I'm sure it is still being taught.

SFC Daniel McIntire - Not to mention heavy. Bitching about having to carry stuff that is too heavy has kept Soldiers on the same page since 1775.

I agree. Plus what happens on the "off chance" that another fine piece of computerized equipment becomes sensitive to real life conditions?

then what happens when the system goes down. its good that we have all these gadgets but we still need to learn the basics. for example is the art of land navigation, actually getting on the ground with a map and compass rather than a dagger or GPS system.

Good concept for mounted units but the last thing a ground-pounding grunt needs is more weight. Any grunt that survives till retirement usually has bad knees, herniated or bulging discs or worse when done. They admit it's bulky for now but adding more weight should require clear cost/benefit analysis. Good reading on this found in: "The Soldier's Load and the Mobility of a Nation", by S.L.A. Marshall.

Great more whiz bang stuff to break and run out of batteries in the field. The little doo hicky on the top's just begging to get broken off soon as the Troop trips and drops or falls on the rifle. Cool idea though.
