AAFES, on post and only sells to those authorized. Are they expecting authorized users to go on a mass shooting? Well I don’t shop there anyways- they suck.

COL (Join to see) actually they've branched out to the veteran world last year as a test program. Problem is that they are not really competitive on prices

SSG (Join to see) And that is why I do not shop at AAFES. They haven't been fiscally competitive in decades and they cave to every fad. Even gun sales are poor deals at best. You can ALWAYS beat their prices even while paying sales tax if you just shop around.

I purchased some targets at the Ft. Lewis Exchange a bunch of years back, but that's the only firearm related thing I've bought from them. The one at the local AFB just started selling firearms and such just under a year ago. The Coast Guard exchange in Mobile just started selling them in 2015. I don't know about Ft. Rucker. I've only been there once and I wasn't really paying attention.
