The entire election was the result of obama's many failures but the economic failures connected with a lot of people who have pulled the D lever for years no matter who the candidate was. That is why a businessman with no filter beat our a herd of primary challengers and a woman with 30 years in politics. Well that and HRC being one of the worst candidates in recent memory.

So a 5% (+/-) unemployment level is an economic failure? Bailing out the banks and auto makers so that are once again profitable is an economic failure?
Too much of the country complains about whatever problems they may have but do little to help themselves.

Economists and pundits should take a clue from weathermen who began couching their predictions with percentages a couple decades ago. I grew up with weathermen who continued to predict the weather regardless of the fact that they were seldom correct. Well, that's about the same as the record of economists and pundits these days. And like those weathermen of yore, they spend most of their time explaining how we should trust their predictions despite their poor record. Now, like weathermen of yore, they also spend a lot of time explaining what happened hoping that we'll forget how their predictions failed to materialize. "US election results show the real divide in America is economic"? Believe that and they'll happily tell you what's going to happen in the next election.

PS: I haven't a clue either as what the jets have to do with the article)
